How is film faced plywood made?

The film faced plywood is made of wooden veneer, glue and film.

First of all, The core is made from thin sheets of wood veneer. These are stacked together with the grain direction of the ply differing from its neighbours’ by 90º (cross banding), assemblying the wooden veneer with the glue.

Through prepressing and core repairment to shape and flat. Then using the hot press machine to soilden the core. This progress makes sure the veneer glued together tightly.

Using the trimming machine trims the core into standard size.


Sanding is for a smooth surface.

Finally, by hot press machine to film the good shape plywood with good quality film.

Besides, the film faced plywood production flow is a little different for different usage.
